Edward Kachurik began working in glass in 1978. He uses a technique of coloring the hot glass surface called veiling, this is a metallic coating that is applied to the hot-glass surface. After the pieces have cooled, they are hand ground and go through six different steps of polishing. This technique is unique to Kachurik's work.
The Blue Chameleon is a hollow sculpture with four polished facets, colors of blue, blue opal, black wrap, iridescent colors and a metallic exterior.
